Take a Break before YOU Break!!



It’s World Mental Health Day

When you are stressed out, overwhelmed, tired, feeling like the world and its wife is relying on you, your business, your kids, your partner, your family, friends and clients all need you day in day out, when you feel like you need to escape and hide even just for an hour, what do you do?

For me, I absolutely adore walking, camping and reading.
Sometimes you just need to get outside, go for a walk, go grab a coffee or just sit, just be still in the moment and take an hour out.

Sure we are all busy, we all have stuff to deal with day in day out, but one thing I have learnt this year is I cannot be all to everyone.

If I am not in tip top form, if I am tired, overwhelmed, knackered, stressed out and putting everyone else before my own needs, my own dreams and goals, then what happens is we go into burn out mode, we are no good to anyone when we feel like that, we are no use to man or beast as they say!

So today I want you to know, YES YOU!! that its absolutely ok to say no, its absolutely ok to have some time out of business and life and go chill for a while, take some time out for you before your health suffers… and yes we all need to work to earn money, BUT if you are struggling, if you are worn out and miserable, if you have lost your focus then your health, your relationships, your business will suffer.

So before its too late, recognise the signs of overwhelm and stress and respect you and only you for a little while.

World Mental Health Day means its ok to stop for a while and put you first!

If you are struggling, lost your way, cannot focus on whats what anymore.

If you are last on your to do list.

If you are last on your priority list.

If its been a while since you did something just for you.

If you are feeling all consumed by business, customers, family, friends and have no idea which way to turn then reach out for support, non judgemental hand holding, a listening ear and maybe someone who can show you there is light at the end of the tunnel, maybe even give you some words of wisdom and slowly help you get back on track.

I am here to inspire, motivate and support you.

I have genuinely been where you are and I know all to well how curveballs, business, life and all the shiz can get you down, can get on top of you and before you know it, the ‘I am fine, I can manage’ becomes ‘OMG I cannot do this anymore, I want to stay in bed and hide from the world’.
